These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Cirqle ("Cirqle", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using cirqle.co.uk, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under UK consumer law.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use Cirqle. By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your login details secure. You confirm your email address when you sign up, and we review every new account before it goes live; we may decline an account without giving a reason. Please keep to one account per person, and don't share your account. If you think your account has been accessed by someone else, contact us at hello@cirqle.co.uk.

3. How Cirqle works

Cirqle is a cashback marketplace. In outline:

  • You browse deals from brands on Cirqle. We are onboarding our first brands now: a deal marked as an example is there to show how a listing will look, and can’t be used yet.
  • You make a qualifying purchase from the brand (subject to that deal's terms).
  • You follow our Instagram account, @cirqle.co.uk.
  • You post about it on Instagram, tagging the brand / our account as the deal requires.
  • You upload your receipt as proof of purchase.
  • We check your receipt, and confirmed cashback is added to your Cirqle wallet.

Some brands also let you log a repeat visit: once you have uploaded a receipt for one of their deals, you can upload a later receipt from the same brand without posting again. A repeat visit earns the amount that brand has set for one, which is lower than the deal's posted rate, and it cannot be used to name someone who referred you.

Brands fund the cashback you earn from them, and in return they can see your activity with that brand — including your Instagram handle, how many receipts you have uploaded, what they totalled, and who referred you to them. They never see your name, email, receipt images, or anything about your activity with any other brand. Section 5 of our Privacy Policy sets this out in full, and it is worth reading before you upload a receipt.

4. Earning cashback

Each deal shows its own cashback amount or rate and its own conditions, which form part of these terms for that purchase. Cashback rates and deals can change or end at any time; the terms that apply are those shown at the time of your purchase. A qualifying purchase must be genuine, completed, and not fully refunded or returned.

5. Verification & our discretion

Cashback is not guaranteed until it is confirmed. We check receipts (some automatically, some by manual review) and may request additional proof. We may reduce, withhold, or cancel cashback where, acting reasonably, we find: the purchase didn't qualify or was refunded/returned; the required post was missing, deleted before verification, or didn't meet the deal's terms; the receipt was unclear, altered, or reused; or there are signs of fraud, abuse, or a breach of these terms.

6. Wallet & withdrawals

Approved cashback is held for 3 days, then shown as a withdrawable balance in your Cirqle wallet. Withdrawals are paid to your bank through Stripe: before your first one, you verify your identity and add a bank account on Stripe’s own form. The minimum withdrawal is £5. If withdrawals are ever temporarily unavailable, your wallet will say so, and we may hold a withdrawal while we complete identity or fraud checks. Your wallet balance is a record of cashback owed to you under these terms; it is not a bank account and does not earn interest.

7. Referrals & the leaderboard

If you tell a friend about something you bought and they buy it too, you can both earn a referral bonus. There is no link to send: your friend types your Instagram handle in when they upload their receipt. For the bonus to be paid:

  • you must have posted about that deal, and your post must come before their purchase;
  • it must be your friend’s first receipt for that deal; and
  • your friend’s receipt must be approved and clear its 3-day hold.

The brand sets and funds the bonus for each deal. It is at least £1 to you and 50p to your friend, and the deal shows the amount. You can’t refer yourself, including from a second account, and both of you are identity-checked by Stripe before either is paid.

The referral leaderboard is optional and off until you join it. It runs in three-month seasons, ranked by referrals settled in that season. The top ten at the end of a season each win the cash prize shown on the leaderboard page. A season’s table is final once its standings have been confirmed, and we may remove anyone who breaks these terms.

8. Your content

When you upload a receipt or link an Instagram post to it, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you grant us a licence to store and use it for the purpose of verifying and administering your cashback. We keep receipts private (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Create fake purchases, receipts, or posts to earn cashback.
  • Use bots or automated tools against the platform.
  • Exploit bugs or errors for cashback gain.
  • Open multiple or fake accounts.
  • Use Cirqle for any unlawful purpose.

Breaking these rules may lead to suspension or closure of your account and forfeiture of unconfirmed cashback.

10. Availability & changes

Cirqle is provided "as is". We may change, suspend, or withdraw features, and we may update these terms — if we make a material change we'll post a notice on the site and, where appropriate, email you. Continuing to use Cirqle after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Liability

We don't exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your non-excludable rights as a consumer). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for losses caused by a partner brand's actions (for example a brand declining a receipt), or for interruptions to the service. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the confirmed cashback balance in your account relating to that receipt.

12. Termination

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. On closure, unconfirmed cashback is forfeited; any confirmed balance owed to you will be paid using the withdrawal method then available, once any checks are complete.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
