Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Cirqle uses. In short: we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics. We only use your browser's storage for the things that make the site work.

Cookies vs. local storage

A "cookie" is a small file a site stores in your browser, often used to remember you between visits. Cirqle doesn't set its own cookies. Instead, to keep you signed in and remember a few preferences, we use local storage — a similar browser feature that keeps small pieces of data on your device and, unlike a tracking cookie, isn't sent to advertisers or used to follow you across other sites.

What we store, and why

These are essential to the service — without them you couldn't stay signed in:

NamePurposeKept
cirqle_sessionKeeps you signed in and holds your login tokenUntil you sign out (or the browser tab closes, if you didn't tick "remember me")
cirqle_savedRemembers deals you've savedUntil you clear it
cirqle_mentionsCaches your Instagram feed so it loads fasterUntil you refresh it
cirqle_admin_keyInternal admin tool only — not used for normal accountsCurrent tab only

Because all of this is strictly necessary to provide a service you've asked for, we don't show a cookie-consent banner — none is legally required for essential storage. If we ever add analytics or non-essential cookies, we'll ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Third-party requests

Our pages make a small number of requests to third parties to load, and those parties may see your IP address as part of serving the request:

When a deal page is opened, or its “Shop” link is followed, the page tells our API so the brand can see how the deal performs. That count is anonymous and uses no cookie or stored identifier.

If you tap “use my location” to find deals nearby, your browser asks your permission first. Your location is used on the page and isn’t stored or sent to us.

Stripe

When you set up withdrawals, or a brand tops up its balance, you are taken to a page hosted by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies on its own site, for security and fraud prevention, under Stripe’s cookie policy. Cirqle’s pages don’t load any Stripe code.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any cross-site tracking.

Managing your storage

You can clear this data any time through your browser's "clear site data" / cookies-and-storage settings. Note that clearing it will sign you out and forget your saved deals.
